Pickled, peameal bacon, not the Costco style perfect sliced cured bacon, does anyone know if it can be found in Calgary, the real back bacon, so enjoyed by Doug and Bob? Need it for a Canadian themed Christmas.

Ok, no need to find some, gonna make it.

In doing my homework I discovered it is pretty much an Ontario thing, something I never realised.

Guess it should have been called "Toronto" or "Hogtown" bacon where it apparently was invented.

I buy Freybe brand peameal (cornmeal) back bacon at Safeway sometimes and it's pretty good.
