Uzbekistana restaurant in boonton NJ
What is the origin. it says Mediterranean cuisine but the traditional dishes are different and very flavorful I never had something like this before. I wish I live in NJ and try all of their dishes but I live all the way in Texas and I wanted to find this cuisine in Texas I can travel an hour or two for this food but from Texas to New Jersey is not possible.
re: scarlet knight
The name of restaurant is uzbekistana and when I was visiting my mom in NJ I took my parents there, I tried to figure out but the waitress said its Mediterranean cuisine. I had a lot of Mediterranean food but this is different I wanted to know if I can find something like that in Texas
Here's a link to the Yelp review. It tells the whole story.
For some strange reason, people from this corner of the world are a bit secretive about where they're from. They have a great cuisine and if you search for Uzbek or Bukharan, you just might find something.
Interesting...I think sometimes people categorize a restaurant or a cuisine, and there's nothing wrong with that. I don't see the need to get hung on up strict, rigid, formal, etc.
I was recently in a Turkish restaurant...we were ordering...I asked if they had X...and the waiter said no, X is from country Y not country Z...ok, thank you very much. It was said as if it was foolish to even ask. That didn't bother me, but the rigid mindset doesn't live within everyone.
Anyway, I enjoyed the meal, LOL.
