box lunches in Bellevue?

MsMaryMc Dec 18, 2013 10:56 AM

Any recommendations for who does a better-than-average box lunch for an event in Bellevue? Delivery would be a nice plus but I can pick them up if needed. I haven't worked over here for very long, and I'm not that familiar with the area yet. The event is in May and we expect 50-80 people (more precise numbers to come).

Thanks in advance!

The Box on Wheels Food Truck serves the Microsoft Campus and other businesses on the Eastside. I've had pretty good food from them.

They also have a catering arm called appropriately Outside the Box. You might want to contact them to see what they could do for you ...

I know that Monsoon East in Bellevue delivers box lunches. I eat there all the time - but have never tried the box lunch.

Ooh, now that's an interesting idea! The website just says to call about catering--I'll have to do that! Thanks!

Monsoon boxed lunches are delicious, and they come with yummy banana cake. The boxed lunches can get a little messy though-- the noodle/rice dishes are pretty saucy and it gets all over everything, so maybe not a great idea for a very formal/business lunch. Also, the portion size is gigantic so everyone will be in a post-lunch coma (which is not necessarily a bad thing).

Gourmondo does a high quality boxed sandwich/salad lunch that is a little more elegant. Portion size is generous but not ridiculously huge.
