Moliterno al Tartufo

Zusie Dec 17, 2013 08:04 PM

I've been gifted a wedge of Moliterno al Tartufo and am looking for serving suggestions. Obviously a cheese board would be an easy way to use it, but what are some other good applications? Thanks!

I like to grate some over pasta with olive oil.

I don't have a ton of experience with this form of Pecorino but my husband's family is from Sardinia. The pasta is an excellent suggestion and once out of the oven pizza topping before eating another. Really over the top, then on eggs.

Frankly, I'd enjoy it in hand with some wine.

Truffles always pair well with egg dishes and a dry bubbly champagne/cava/etc

It would also be a great addition to a simple polenta or flatbread just before serving
