Huy Fong Sriracha - Kashrut

  • 8

I have seen a few postings on this board about the kashrut of Huy Fong sriracha.

I was in Gourmet Glatt last week and they were selling it.

Seem to be under the RCC - http://rccvaad.org/teudot/Huy%20Fong%...

  1. I'd just as soon buy the rooster sauce myself, but FWIW, Texas Pete just debuted their own version of sriracha

Their other sauces are under the OU so it's likely that this one is, too.

Yes, I posted about it last week, cheese. It's called Freund's and it's not bad. It's all I could find in London.

            Sorry.... Didn't see your post.

I can send you some of the real stuff across the pond if you're interested

Ha! I'm in NYC right now but shlepping that stainmonster in my bag scares the crap out of me.

    1. Just to clarify - Rooster Sauce is Huy Fong's Sriracha. It is called Rooster Sauce because it includes a Rooster on their packaging. Various knockoffs include two roosters, sharks, dragons, etc...

Huy Fong popularized "Sriracha," to such an extent that the two are basically synonymous.
