Anyone know of a place to purchase Pasilla chile paste around Greater Boston? TIA!

If you strike out, you can find Badia brand Pasillas at Market Basket and grind your own. Just soak them and grind them in a coffee grinder or blender, adding enough water to keep the mixture flowing.

also, I toast them first, before the hot water soaking. It's really easy.

I think Rick Bayless has videos & recipes for making your own. It's very easy.

You've probably already made it, but for future reference, try La Internacional market in Union Square, Somerville.

Try La Chapincita Market on Moody St. in Waltham.
