San Pedro

Going to see Golden State Pops Holiday Shoe at The Grand in San Pedro. Any ideas for dinner? Anything except Asian please.

  1. Since you liked Beach City Grill down there before did you not want to go back again? I understand the urge to try new places too but if I really had a great meal someplace and didn't get to its location very often I'd probably be inclined to go back while down that way.

I'd say Raffaello's and, while we liked 22nd Street Seafood Bar & Grill the times we went it's been too long for me to say it's still good without another visit.

Good point on Beach City Grill. I went back a few months ago and it was fine but not as good as the original time. Funny how that happens,,,

Ernie, do you have any experience with J Trani's ? I've seen it when wandering around San Pedro but have never been.

It has been many years since my last visit to J Trani's, but I remember a very old school San Pedro vibe that I really enjoyed. I cannot remember what I ate there unfortunately

I'll have to keep it on my list when in the area to see what they have to offer. Thanks for the reply.

I was at the Grand Annex in October to hear somebody sing. It's a pretty easy walk to Porky's BBQ. Seemed to have slipped a bit from the days it was in Inglewood. It would scratch that bbq itch if you're in the mood. They don't do the fried chicken unfortunately any longer. Menu pdf.
