Great gluten free cake

jill kibler Dec 15, 2013 01:42 AM

Hi all. I am new to gluten free baking. I tried this recipe last night, using two loaf pans instead of a spring form pan. It is easy to make and delicious to eat! Enjoy!

This is Claudia Roden's/Nigella Lawson's clementine almond cake, and it is indeed good. I've made it as a cranberry upside down cake with the cranberry topping from here (http://www.marthastewart.com/332789/c...).
Thank you for reminding me of it. It solves a holiday dessert problem for me.

      That looks delicious!!
My sister is gf and we recently made and loved these cookies (just use molasses instead of the weird yacon in the recipe):

That website has some great gf almond flour recipes, the whole list is here:

The breakfast bars and sesame crackers are favorites

If you want something chocolate but not a super-rich flourless chocolate cake, I highly recommend Alice Medrich's Italian Chocolate-Almond torte. Very easy and delicious, with a sophisticated flavor and no gluten or dairy.
