Restaurant Recs in the East Bay good for kids and groups?

Hi, not from the bay area, but trying to put together a lunch with a bunch of friends who are all going to be in the bay area around the holidays. We have about 10-12 people coming from Martinez, Pleasanton, Cupertino and downtown SF. So I'm looking for a place somewhere in the east bay preferably. A couple of toddlers coming along too. I'm hoping to find a place for lunch that is both good for kids and maybe has a private room for our group. The budget is flexible-cheap to moderate (being maybe $20/pp or so). Any type of food is fine--we are all adventurous eaters--as long as there's something for the munchkins. I was thinking maybe dim sum in the jack london square area, but don't know any go-to restaurants there or if there's something better elsewhere. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks so much in advance!

How about that nice back room at Brennan's?

That's a good idea. I see families with young kids in there all the time. They have that side room that has doors/partiions. Way too large fro 12 people, but I'm sure they'd let you take over one end.

East Ocean as suggested or Asian Pearl in the Pacific (99 Ranch Market) mall at Richmond.

East Ocean Seafood in Emeryville might work for you.
