What to serve along side truffle Mac and Cheese?

ChelsR Dec 13, 2013 06:17 AM

I've been craving some homemade Mac and cheese for some time now. I want to make truffled Mac and cheese but I canst come up with anything good to serve along side. A veggie of course but what meat? I would be fine with veggies and Mac and cheese but my husband... Not so much.

Would love ideas!

Our local BBQ place serves it with barbecued meat...

Thinking of something more wintery. We have a foot of snow on the ground here!

At Bern's reputable steak house in Tampa, truffle mac and cheese is probably their most popular side dish with a good steak.

I would do a nice lean cut. The Mac and cheese will be very decadent as are some cuts of beef.
          Better yet bison steak mmmm

How about roasted halved brussels sprouts and a pork tenderloin?

Some variety of salty, savory sausage. Grilled, or oven roasted.

I ended up making along side two kinds of house made sausages. It was amazing! Thanks!

All great ideas! Thank You. We normally eat pretty healthy around here so I was having a hard time thinking out of the grilled chicken box!

Maybe chicken sausages? My parents love those- especially the one with jalapenos...

Pork is definitely what comes to my mind. A pork tenderloin with nice herby flavors or a simple pork chop with cranberry or apple or balsamic sauce.
