Puerto Vallarta - Christmas Day - what is open for lunch?

  • 8

Cruise ship stop on Christmas day - what restaurants will still be open on that Christmas day, and for lunch only.

Barcelona website says is it open "every day", but does that really mean Christmas Day too?

Thanks.

    1. PV is a tourist town, so most everything is open all the time. If there's any day that's less available it's an early dinner on New Years Eve.
Barcelona Tapas is OK but La Palapa would be my recommendation http://www.lapalapapv.com/site/
      Probably need a reservation.

Thanks, Been to La Palapa last time and enjoyed it very much. Wanted to try something different.

Yes, good point. Will everything be so crowded if they are open anyway. Since we get fed well on the cruise ship, the point is to have a special experience not necessarily just to eat.

      2. Asked and answered Thanks.

        1. See if Cafe des Artistes will be open, that would be special

Thanks. Checked but they are only open for dinner. I have heard a lot about this place. Have a feeling any port in the storm on that day will be good enough.

We live in Southern California so we get a lot of "Mexican" food, even the good stuff so we are looking more for a special PV experience that may be slightly off the beaten track --- ha, on this day of all days! Still nothing wrong with a great fish taco at Jacks ……… that we don't get done well in So Calif.

          2. A sister restaurant to La Palapa of similar qualityis Vista Grill which has a great view of the city.
