A Li Shan - Rosemead

Looks like the old Hunan Seafood place had been renamed. Still servicing busloads of tourists.

We sampled the mabo tofu and slice pork chilli dish. Menu looks similar to the old Hunan place but they do have pork chop rice etc that are typical of Taiwanese places.

Name change dispute I guess?

Overall...great for a cold afternoon.

p.s. was hoping to run into 阿里山的姑娘 but didn't have the luck.

for back story, reference here: http://la.eater.com/archives/2013/11/...

"changes restaurant name, loses all customers, and, finally, attempts to sell restaurant."

    and here: http://la.eater.com/archives/2012/09/...

"there were plans to turn the back of the restaurant into a hostess bar"

Chef is a hired hand from Taipei. Ownership & lease holder has not changed. The neighborhood should not give a dime to this shady mf'er.
