Bad Planners

eap2002 Dec 11, 2013 07:19 PM

My in-laws have realized at THIS LATE DATE that they are not equipped to cook Christmas Day dinner for 18 and could use some catering assistance. The house is in Brookline and the needs are fairly basic, not fancy. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

A similar topic came up about thanksgiving came last month search this board for that, here is one about where to get pre cooked turkeys for thanksgiving. It will be tough to get a custom cater at this late date, I would suggest you buy a main course (turkey/ham) and cook sides to make it festive.

We had a good experience with kitchensurfing.com. They have a pretty big roster of chefs, and many of them are flexible in terms of cost. You could also consider picking some platters up from a restaurant that also does catering.

Boston Bartenders and some other staffing co's can provide facilitators, servers and sometimes chefs too. Worth a call.

For the holiday food itself, Formaggio does full meals for take out and maybe Lineage would do food as well....
