Cochon Butcher

Hi New Orleans Chowhounds.

I'm going to be in New Orleans the last week of December and want to go with my 14-year old son to Cochon Butcher. Any strategies for getting in lunch-time on a Fri/Sat/Sun? If I don't get there until 12:30 or 1, will the wait time be unbearable?

Also, what are the foods I shouldn't miss?

  1. The wait times to get food won't be unbearable, but you may not have a seat at peak hours. So if your hotel is nearby, you might want to plan for a picnic if you can't get their early or late.

        I am hoping to eat there rather than take out. Am I being unrealistic?!

          No. It’s just one of those places where you order at the counter and wait for someone to get up. Just depends on your patience and your timing. Worst case scenario, you can sit on the curb out front and enjoy an ice cold bottled soda with your sandwich (I recommend the roast beef & arugula).

            The muffuletta is great and the side of brussel sprouts were excellent
