After sampling many brands including Bachmann, Utz, Rold Gold, Charles, etc, I have come to the conclusion that they all taste alike with WeGe sourdough being the very best. Unfortunately, here on LI the sole market carrying them is Fairway. I called WeGe and they never gave me any information about other places.

If you REALLY like them, you can order them by the case from their factory store.

Most of the good pretzels are made in Lancaster County, Pa., not NY State.

Fairway was out of the Wege's so no one on LI is selling them.I bought Utz's sourdough in a plastic container as a trial.
They aren't as good as the Weges, but they are a good second if my taste memory still serves me. Incidentally, Wege still hasn't responded to my email nor got back to me from the phone call I made. I may still buy from their mail order department, but their poor public relations department puts a sour taste in my mouth
