screen flashing off and on

alkapal Dec 10, 2013 05:37 AM

sometimes the screen, rather most elements of it flash off and on.

header and black lines between posts don't flash.

now i'll have to pay better attention about what stays and what flashes.

very frustrating, and only happens occasionally.

mac user with safari.

I'm also using Safari on a Mac. Used to have the screen go white when it flashed, now it's more subtle--looks more like it goes from plain to bold font (though that's definitely not it). Today it's so bad it's making me sick.

what is frustrating is that there is nothing from the site administrators even acknowledging this issue….

Yes, very frustrating. But sadly not at all new. It's almost as if they don't understand that the site is nothing without their users.

                Hi all,

I apologize for the delay in responding. Some of the flashing you are seeing could be caused by changes we made to improve pageload times. Depending on the speed of your internet connection, you might be seeing something different than what is intended, though.

It would be helpful to know what pages you're looking at when you see these problematic flashes. I have also been using Safari on Mac, and am not seeing anything that's super noticeable.

                Thanks!
