Lutefisk and lefse

Are there any places in NYC (aside from Nordic Delicacies, which is very difficult for me to get to easily) that sell lutefisk and lefse without advance orders? I'm hoping to procure some for a dinner this weekend.

Sorry, didn't notice that you didn't want to go to Bay Ridge.

    2. You might try Nordic Preserves Fish & Wildlife Company (both locations are in Manhattan though, Essex Street Market and La Marqueta).

      1. Nordic Delicacies will deliver.

Nordic Preserves Fish & Wildlife is great, but I've never seen lutefisk there. Nordic Delicacies is the only place in the city I've ever seen it, in fact.

You might also check with a couple of the Scandinavian churches - the Norwegian Seamen's Church in Midtown has a little store, as I recall. There's also a little cafe in the Swedish Church on 48th - if they serve lutefisk, you might ask them where they source theirs from.
