After midnight dinner tonight

Blumie Dec 9, 2013 03:54 PM

About to board a flight that arrives LAX at 11:45pm tonight. Staying in MDR and have a car, though it clearly will be after midnight by the time I get the car. Where should I have dinner? Looking for burgers or Mexican or a dive bar or something along those lines. Anywhere between LAX and Santa Monica is fine, further for something truly special.

Pacific Dining Car in Santa Monica is open 24 hours. Expensive.

Swingers in Santa Monica serves till 3am

La Cabana on Rose in Venice serves till 3am

Izzy's Deli Santa Monica is 24 hours

In N' Out Burger outside LAX on Sepulveda is open till 1am.

and the wrong direction is The Kettle a 24 hour diner in Manhattan Beach (about 10 minutes south of LAX

The Alibi Room is not far from LAX to MDR and is open until 2 a.m. serving Kogi tacos. I don't know how late the kitchen is open.

          Good list wienermobile.

          Wokcano in Santa Monica.

And there's a place in Westwood - Habibi Cafe - an Arab hookah bar with place ('round the corner from the Village Theater, across the street from the Bruin Theater that has a lot of hookah's (and a few hookers from time to time ) that serve all night. It's weird enough to be considered a dive. Open 'til 4:00 am during the week, later on the weekendhttp://www.habibicafe.com/cuisine.htmls. Fajita's, falafel and kabobs. And this platter (which is what I get).

Guess you will have to save a few bones for them, as well as shunji.

It might be more than a few bones.

                    This is LA after all.

But at least they are cheaper than the ones prawlinge around Mastros.
