Good hibachi in Monmouth County

I'm looking for a good hibachi place in Monmouth County. I used to go to Arirang in Parlin but it's now out of the way, and has gone downhill lately. It seems they put more effort into the "show" than the actual food.

As I said, I'm looking for something better, perferable in Monmouth County or southern Middlesex. My GF used to like Shiki in Middletown but they are out of business. Quanity and quality of the hibachi menu is important. not so much their sushi offerings.

Thanks!

I've only eaten the Sushi at Kanji Steakhouse in Tinton Falls, which is very good, but they also have Hibachi tables available.

I've yet to find a hibachi style place that is "DIFFERENT" once you have it, its always the "same thing"lol..... chix, shrimp, lobster, steak, chopped, saute`d, flipped, juggled WOW! soy sauce, teriyaki, sesame seeds, lemon, etc, it all tastes the same.
I'd much rather eat at the table from their menu, so many more choices, & sushi also. I could see taking guests who have never seen the "SHOW" on the hibachi,......but, after the second time I said no more for me..... especially when I had to sit with a bunch of 6 strange drunk college kids screaming thruout the whole ordeal BONZAI!!!!!! YIKES!!

I'll echo Tapas' sentiments that most hibachi restaurants are pretty standard as far as the food and "show" are concerned. That being said, my kids seem to prefer Ichiban in Ocean Twsp. Equal_Mark's recommendation is another good choice as the sushi is very solid as well. Good luck.

There's a Japanese Hibachi Steakhouse in Hazlet that, as others have commented, is the same as all the others: http://www.fujisushihazlet.com/. My kids love the show and the steak is OK. I almost always order sushi because I can cook a better steak at home, but this place will satisfy your need.

Shogun Lengends in Wall. They have the most impressive hibachi dinner menu I've ever seen - I've had the lunch and it's very good! http://www.shogunlegends.com/menu/
