Kitchen Aid fix in Philly?

janmcbaker Dec 7, 2013 01:18 PM

Can anyone recommend a reliable small appliance maintenance/ repair place in or near NE Philly? I need to get some TLC for my beloved 20-plus year old Kitchen Aid stand mixer and I don't want to hand it over to just anyone. Thanks!

might consider calling Fante's and asking them. Kitchen Aid also has a service locator on their web site

Look at ereplacementparts.com. They sell parts and have lots of videos on how to do DYI repairs.

I agree with Dave in Pa.... I blew our KA mixer up, stripped the gears...too much bread dough,...easy inexpensive fix..

I finally thought to tweet Kitchen Aid and they gave me the name of a place on Rising Sun Ave. I'll post it when I get the chance to check again- didn't write it down of course. They did recommend calling first to see if the place can handle old K/A's. I don't think mine needs any parts replaced, just a general tune-up. Unless they find some problem inside it.

OK- sorry it took me so long, but Kitchen Aid directed me to Mr. Appliance at 6407 Rising Sun Ave.. That would be just north of Levick St. Phone- 215-725-3112. KA recommended calling first to make sure they handle older models.
