Do I need to oil steam basket if I am going to steam fish?

Hi I have never steamed fish before, I am just curious if I need to oil the steaming basket before laying the fish in?
I was trying to do this without any fat/oil which is why I opted for steaming vs sauteing, baking, etc..

If I don't end up oiling it anyway will a bunch of it stick?

  1. Lay a piece of cabbage leaf or butter lettuce underneath the fish or on top of the basket. Better yet use one of those large Dinosaur kale leaves.

If you are going to steam a fish and worry about sticking, then you can always

        2) lay some vegetable down -- basically separating the fish from the steamer.

        3) Use parchment paper:
