ISO Nokia Center meal for party of 12-24

  • 7

I'm thinking of having a lunch or dinner before a 1:00PM game at Staples, are there any places hounds can recommend at Nokia for a group? This would be paid for by us, celebrating a milestone bday. Looking for reasonable cost, not too cheap, not too expensive. Many in the group are vegetarian and/or kosher style so I'm looking for variety (so Lawy's Carvery probably doesn't fit the bill in terms of menu, and accomodations)

Great, I'll look and see if they have a party or private room. Doesn't have to be great, just good and serviceable, the real party will be at the game.

    2. Before one day of the figure skating world championships at Staples a few years ago, I organized a lunch at Guelaguetza on Olympic for a group of people from all over the world. It's only two miles west of Nokia, the prices are reasonable, and there is a lot of variety. It wasn't a private room, but the restaurant easily pulled a few tables together to accommodate a group of about 20. It worked perfectly for a group.

Thanks Jwsel, I'd prefer the group to be together on the Nokia premises or within walking distance for parking, logistics and keeping together. Looks like a nice restaurant, I'll check out Guelaguetza someday!

      2. If it's during the week (it probably isn't), Rivera is right across the street. The Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill would be among the best restaurants in most cities (closed Sunday though).

Condiment: this is a Saturday game. We love Rivera (especially their mixed drinks! OMG!), location is great, it might be too pricey. I'm not looking for 'best', just 'good'.

        2. For a Saturday:

          Dinner: Casa Nostra
          Lunch: Wood Spoon
