chicken soup with noodles to freeze

can i put noodles in soup and successfully freeze it - without it absorbing all the liquid? does the type of noodle make a difference? (reg. pasta vs. egg noodle, etc)

    I don't like frozen noodles. They will be mushy. Freeze the soup, make the noodles later IMO.

      In a word- no.
      Frozen soup with noodles- no matter what kind-never ends well.
      Barley, quinoa, or farro would work, but even rice gets water logged and mooshy.

        The only way this would remotely work is if you drop the noodles in the simmering soup then immediately turn the pot off so they'll be undercooked. When you heat the soup up, it should be okay. Egg noodles are rolled flat so they'll cook faster than a shaped pasta.
