Truffle Triple Creme Brie Cake

A couple weeks ago I had a chance to try what was called "truffle triple creme brie cake" at a party. My friend had purchased it at Whole Foods in Santa Rosa, CA. It was $30 per pound and labeled "made right here". Here's what it looks like,

According to this site, the triple creme cheese is Brillat-Savarin.

    I costed this out yesterday at my local cheese shop. There a 500g wheel of Brillat-Savarin is $19. A small jar of Rustichella black truffle paste is $17 and the white is $20. Depending on how much of the jar of truffle paste is applied to a wheel, $30 per pound is looking better.
