Irv's Burgers Lives!

From LA Eater:... word that the Hong family will move Irv's Burgers in West Hollywood less than half a mile down the block into the shuttered Biscuit Cafe plot on Santa Monica Boulevard near Laurel Hardware. Right now the space is definitely in revamp mode, with furniture stacked and walls freshly painted. Great News! Hand drawn plates will continue.

    1. The Plate Art of Irv's...

      1. So were the burgers actually decent, or was it just the word art and affable service that brought the masses in en masse ????

when I used to live around there, I went all the time. It's closest competitors in my opinion are Carney's and Tommys, and I preferred it to both because the chili seemed sort of... lighter. it left you with a cleaner feeling. and the paper plate drawings were definitely a draw too.

i like a burger that isn't too enormous...a well balanced burger, like in n out or so...theirs qualifies.

          2. The burgers are good. The fries are good. They have orange Fanta. But the real reason to go is Sonya. She's amazing I asked for extra grilled onions once, and she laughed and said (in from of everyone) " ohhhh!!! You no have no date tonight!!! Hahahaha!!!"
I laughed about that one all night. Plus, she draws amazing caricatures.

            1. Irv's is now open at new location drawings and all!
