18 th birthday party for 10 mature young ladies. Fun atmosphere, very low cost food in January

Some are jet setters and have seen the world in an indulgent way. My daughter( the birthday girl) has gone with them to some incredible locations but our budget is as low as it can go!
For years of birthdays, I preordered at downtown Saigon Grill and the location was good for them to hang out. That is overplayed this year.
Anywhere in city is fine and any cuisine is fine. Tall order?

Yunnan doesn't seem to take reservation other than occasional for less than 8 people. But it looks yummy and good location!

if you like their menu call Yunnan Kitchen for availability... i've been there with large groups and perhaps they might accommodate yours...

    2. More specific on per person budget?

If I could do 29 I'd be as happy as can be.

if you could go early enough that it wouldn't put them out, Bar Pitti could work: but you'd have to go there first, explain the situation, what you want, etc, as they usually don't take reservations but will occassionally for a large party...they might be able to serve up plates of delicious antipasti, pasta, etc for that price since you theoretically won't be drinking wine...

Another option is a Chinese place like Congee Village/Congee Bowery, where you can arrange a set price feast for 10...

Another Italian option besides Bar Pitti might be Cacio e Vino (arrange something in advance)...

29/person is tight but doable at places where you'll be sharing dishes...

a lot of small places might be willing to work with you on menu and price if you are willing start the dinner early (say, 5 or 6pm) and if its not a Fri or Sat night...

        2. Korean bbq could be fun, this thread had some good recs:

          1. This place is really just a midtown Thai option, but it looks very glamorous. Teens would really like it. Food is fine, and within your budget. Pichet Ong is associated with it.
