ORLANDO AREA - Can't-miss markets, bakeries, butchers, etc.?

BernieBrewer Dec 2, 2013 02:18 PM

Our extended family will be in Lake Buena Vista in early February for a week, and would like to do some fun cooking on-site at the villa.

Any suggestions for highly recommended markets, bakeries, seafood markets, butchers, or other specialty food shops would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Petty's Meat Market in Longwood (off I-4/S-434). Great selections of seafood/meats, etc, KD

Definitely make a road trip to East End Mark in Orlando's Audubon Park Garden District. It's filled with food--a good bakery, a cheesemonger, a fish shop, a juice bar, a barbecue sauce guy and more. http://eastendmkt.com/

Looks good! Any idea whether Fatto in Casa sells fresh pasta? If not, any other suggestions for getting fresh pasta in the area?

I don't recall seeing fresh pasta there. And, alas, fresh pasta is far from abundant in Orlando. I suggest you seek out a dried brand imported from Italy. I don't know of one specialist here.
