Da Nonna Rosa in Park Slope

I had a delicious lunch at this quiet, pretty 7th Avenue Italian restaurant. For $10, I had perfectly grilled, nicely plated, sausage and escarole with beans. My friend ordered grilled shrimp and they were standouts: large, juicy, perfectly seasoned with fresh sauteed spinach. Go there and be happy. A lovely waiter too.

I've found the place inconsistent. Some good meals, some meh. There is much better red sauce in Park Slope.

I can only speak from my few good experiences with Da Nonna. Where do you go for good Italian in the area?

Went there when it first opened. Meal was fine. Decided to try it because an extremely nice manager (sorry; forgot his name) from La Villa is now there.

Honestly, we like La Villa better and it closer to our house than Da Nonna.
