Need restaurant close to 1 North Wacker

Either walking distance or short taxi ride is fine, and this is for 4 people for an employee holiday meal. Thanks so much!

You can stay in the building - I have had some good meals at 1 North Kitchen and Bar -

There are many places in the area; if you could provide more information such as budget, types of cuisine/experience you are seeking and types of cuisine people in your party dislike it will be easier for people to point you in the right direction.

Thanks! As far as budget, moderate, but no tasting menu. I would say 50 pp, no paticular type of cuisine - just something that is good with a great atmosphere and festive. I wanted to try Bavettes, but no reservations (even mid-week).

Carnivale. Lively and festive, with good food.

Agree with the GT Fish recommendation; fun atmosphere, reasonable prices, great staff, close by and great food and cocktails. Another venue I like (a bit farther, but still short cab ride) is Embeya; also fun atmosphere, outstanding food and cocktails and wonderful staff. GT as you expect from their name has an emphasis on seafood whereas Embeya features modern Asian fusion. Since you mentioned Bavette's, Chicago Cut might also be worth considering (if people want steak). Mexique (Mexican with French influence) also would be a nice choice.
