Cook Your Ass Off (HLN network)--new show

Was I the only person in America to watch this last night? Richard Blais as host, 3 judges, 3 contestants--all chefs (seems to be the cooking show template). Idea is to makeover someone's eating/cooking style to meet their health needs.

The 1st show wasn't a strong contender for my remaining DVR time, but I may give it another try.

  1. OMG, a CH-friend sent us a link about this yesterday!!! Brought to you by the network that gave the world Casey Anthony and Jodi Arias.

This was all I needed to read :)

That was a fun read, beginning to 'end'! Thank you for sharing.

This was much more entertaining than the show, c oliver! I had forgotten that Blais several times said to check the recipes on Upwave--I had no interest to do so.

It will probably be a huge success considering what other programs are. I think we've all long since figured out that CHs don't represent what the LCD-eating public wants. And really the second I read about the Anthony/Arias network link, I just knew.

They should have aired my episode first, and unedited. ;-) I think you would have enjoyed it, and your dvr would have been mine! LOL.

          1. The thing that gets me (and I think they dropped the ball on) is their kick off show is a Vegetarian challenge. I know a lot of people want good healthy cooking. The idea of this show is great. But the episode that should draw in as many viewers as possible is only targeted at maybe 10% of the population.

            Really dropped the ball there...

The dish for the first ep was grilled cheese, wasn't it? Everyone eats grilled cheese... Does merely pointing out that a dish is vegetarian somehow alienate 90 percent of the audience?

            2. My parents ended up watching this and were telling me about it. Somehow I don't remember Blais' weight loss coming up during his TC appearances, but I can't imagine they didn't address it at some point.

              1. Would like to research contestants who performed on this program. Please provide info to follow up.
