Going over for a hockey tournament and staying at the Hampton Inn. No b-fast there so any recommendations?

I didn't realize they were a chain. We went and it was very good. Had a 10 yr. old with us and his Father was totally amazed at how much he ate lol!

I recommend the Eggs Benedict or any of its multitude of variations. Ask for extra Hollandaise sauce in a small bowl on the side. The Hollandaise is the best restaurant Hollandaise I have ever had. (I must also say that I have not eaten at the Ellenton branch of Peaches--only at the Sarasota branch, but I can't imagine that it would be much different.)

You are referring to Peaches? I like their sausage benedict.

That's two votes for Peaches and it's very close. Thanks very much!

Popi's, very nearby on 301. Their breakfast special until 11 is up a buck to $5.99, but it's eggs any style, sausage or bacon, hash browns with or without onions, biscuit or toast, bottomless coffee. Best deal in town. Peaches is also very good - omelets, sausage with gravy on biscuits, fresh fruit. Pass on the Waffle House.
