Wasn't sure where best to put this, so started a new thread.

  1. That's easy, the "Chowhound Team" will probably move it to Food Media & News for you! And then nobody will see it except some people in the USA :-)

        Too true!

Probably with these posts as well.

Either way, hopefully he will be able to bring Splendido back to a true high end fine dining establishment.

A policy of not moving things like this has been in place for over a year: http://chowhound.chow.com/topics/839197

        2. I read this earlier. I feel like there must be more of a story here but they are keeping united front!

You have to put up a front even if there is more to it. But by splitting up, I am sure Carlo gets some funds for being bought out and has capital for his expansion. Even couples married 40 years split up so this is not surprising as they probably want to go in different directions and have more control over that direction. I bet their wives also have some sort of say d=so you have 4 people who could have differing ideas.

Who said Carlo was "bought out" maybe it was the other way around? or maybe it was an even split.. who knows.. We also don't know what agreements were in place or what share of each business each had.. It is never as simple as thinking Splendido is worth more because it is higher profile.
