Where to buy Duck Fat

Looking to procure duck fat without actually rendering it myself so I can attempt a thanksgiving recipe that calls for it. Anybody know where I can find some and roughly how much it costs?

  1. Call Publican Quality Meats.

    1. Treasure Island and some Whole Foods stores carry them in the freezer aisle

        1. Thank you. You asked my question.

          1. Gene's Sausage Shop on Lincoln sells goose lard $3.99/lb in containers just over 1 lb.

Paulina Meat Market this week had both duck and goose fat in the refrigerator section. I have also bought duck fat at Gene's, as mentioned above, and I believe at Olympia Meat Packers. I know I bought duck bacon at Olympia, and it was delicious!

How long does it keep refrigerated?

It seems to me I remember frozen schmaltz so you must be able to freeze it.
