HELP! Need a thanksgiving turkey in London!

I am trying to find a relatively inexpensive turkey for Thanksgiving (celebrating on Saturday). I'm looking for 5kg I think (to feed about 7 people with leftovers). Also I need to fit it into my apartment sized oven! So far butchers seem to be really expensive (45 pounds for a 3kg breast, I want the whole bird please!). I'd like to keep it under 30 pounds and would prefer not to resort to Tesco. Any help is appreciated!

I had a really hard time last year, it was either special order from the butcher's at about £8-10/kg, or frozen from Sainsbury's. The demand for turkeys here just does not ramp up until closer to Christmas. Not my first choice, to go wth frozen, but couldn't fork over 70 quid for a turkey. Happy Thanksgiving!

Waitrose usually get fresh ones in for Thanksgiving (and I think they keep frozen ones all year round).

Unfortunately, unless you do "resort" to Tesco, I don't think you'll find a whole bird cheaply.

Presuming it's not cheap, but Whole Foods on Kensington High Street has so much turkey at the minute its ridiculous. All sizes of birds and all individual cuts in the fridge. I find their meat pricing to be OK, and very often they have specials so call or check them out?

I don't know where you're based, but Doves butchers in Northcote Road, Battersea, has turkeys at the moment. I don't know the price.
