  1. It's not going to be a place to linger over a pint or two; from their FAQ:

"The Torpedo Room is a place of craft beer discovery and education. In this spirit, we don’t serve full pints; rather, we serve tasting trays with four 4-ounce glasses so you dive into an array of beer styles—let’s talk about them and focus on what makes each one great."

Hmmm, right, it's a type 1 license. Tasting only.

Still, a four-ounce taste of each of 16 beers is four pints.

    2. I stopped by yesterday and thought it was a good and interesting place. They definitely have some beers not found anywhere else (including a great whiskey-barrel-aged saison that was fantastic). The pours are four ounces, for around $2 each. They suggest doing four to compare. They also have some cheese and salami plates to go along with the beer tastings. Overall, a nice experience.

I would note that at least a month ago - on the weekends it can get too busy to really appreciate fully. The whole purpose for going is to get a flight, which requires bar/counter space. Sometimes that can be in short supply.

      2. Excellent, thanks for sharing. Always make a point to stop at the brewery in Chico when passing by, now will have a new pit stop in Berkeley!
