Sevara regulars - any decline in quality?
I was hoping to go to Savera soon but a friend who goes regularly says that in a recent take out meal the recipes seemed to have changed for the worse and the food was just ordinary. Anyone else noticed this?

Update - good news, the "ordinary" meal was an aberration - the food is back on track and very good. If you like Indian food that isn't greasy, each dish distinctly spiced (no mother sauce) and is made with care, with reasonable prices, it's for you. I really liked the Goan Prawn curry, a lamb dish with fruit and nuts, and the smoky eggplant. The service is very friendly and efficient. You don't need to shout at your companions - discreet background music is very low and the room isn't a big cavern full of hard surfaces, so the hum of conversation is just that.
Savera is our favorite for Indian food hands down. But from time to time there's a blip in quality - I think when the main chef takes a night off. There was a time when that chef was gone for awhile and the food declined - about a year ago. Now it's back up to its high standard.
