  1. Here's some info via Time Out NY, not sure how dated it is:

Apotheke opens at 8pm on Sundays.

      Asia Roma is closed Sundays.

      Mulberry Project opens at 6pm.

Winnie's looks like it opens at 1pm. Not sure if you want a karaoke bar, though.

169 is now "Charles Hanson's 169 Soul Jazz Oyster Bar" but opens at 1pm.

You'll have more options if you go to Nolita or the LES. But it depends on what time, a lot of places don't open until 4pm or so on Sundays.

    2. there's also Whiskey Tavern on Baxter

This is the one I was thinking of too.

      2. Totally different from Nom Wah but equally old-school: the bar at Forlini's on Baxter, last survivor of the days when Little Italy extended south of Canal. It's the anti-Apotheke, run on Sundays by a veteran New York barman named Ross. No modern mixology, just honest pours, the customary buy-back and, if he's in the mood, saloon yarns from gigs all over town.
