how long can I keep Israeli cous cous on the shelf?

  1. I am sure it's good for 18 months or possibly more if kept dry and sealed.

    1. Oh good heavens - forever! It's pasta. Keep it in a tightly covered glass jar and it will still be good after the apocalypse.

You may expect it should last forever, but it may not, as it's not a traditional pasta. And I would not keep pasta more than 2 years anyway. All the pasta I buy has an expiration date and it's not 5 or 10 years down the road. You would not get sick eating it, but I bet it does not taste as good 5 years later.

      2. Thanks for the responses. I cooked some of it & it was pretty nasty. I think I bought it about 5 years ago, then moved & lost in, then found. I think I'll go with no longer than a year.
