What is your favorite place to buy prepared foods for dinner in RI?

We have a busy young family and I am looking for places where I can buy prepared foods for dinner. We haven't ate dinner out as a family in several months because of our daughter in her "terrible twos". I usually hit up Whole Foods, Dave's Market, East Side Market or Venda Ravioli. And I am a regular at Trader Joes for their frozen meals. Any other suggestion out there?

  1. Long ride (for a RI'er) but there is a great pasta place in Wakefield (Pasta to Go?).

The Pasta Patch in Warwick is a small take-out shop with a wide variety of Italian dishes from fresh pasta to soups to sauces to salads to pizza, to entrees.

Some items are frozen; others are fresh and they are all made right there. I particularly like the fresh pasta lasagne and the chicken pot pie. Their pizzas need only 10 minutes in the oven. The pepperoni pizza and the spinach are my favorites.

It is a bit of a ride for me so I stock up when I go. Right now I have a spinach pizza and an eggplant lasagne in my freezer ready to pop in the oven when I don't feel like cooking from scratch.

The shop is located on Old Forge Road in Warwick on the way to Goddard Park.
