Anyone know a good, authentic place to find arepas - especially arepas de huevo - in Philly or the burbs? (Article in the current issue of Saveur has me craving!)
Try either Sazon on spring Garden or perhaps Tierra Columbiana
Sazon at 9th & Spring Garden for sure. Other really tasty Venezuelan dishes, as well.
Not open yet but there's one coming to 4th ST just north of South (in the space that used to be Django). The same lady has a truckhttp://www.philly.com/philly/blogs/th...
You can buy them at the Flourtown farmers market Thurs -Sun.
There's a truck I've seen a few times that has arepas. I got them and liked them quite a bit. These are the only arepas I've ever eaten, so I can't tell you anything about whether they are authentic or not.
Sazon has delcious arepas.
