Lunch near Palace Theater, Manchester NH

Headed to Palace Theater next month for a show. Trying to find a lunch place nearby.

Inlaws like local, organic, sustainable. So last time I thought, this is easy! We went to Republic. They hated it. ???

Where should we try this time? Service is very important to them...they like to feel "special". But we will have two young boys (3 &5) so nothing fancy. Any cuisine except Mexican.

Well for service, my choice would be The Chophouse. Unfortunately it doesn't really fit the rest of the criteria. My only other Manchester lunch favorites are the Mexican restaurants, so that won't help!

Another thought...there are a few dinner places now open for lunch (like Mint) so you may have other options depending on what day you go.

We will be there on Saturday, so no Mint. My boys love sushi so I wish it were open for lunch that day.

What about any of these places?

      Firefly
      Cotton
      Ignite
      XO on Elm
      Bridge Cafe
      Fratellos
      Piccola

My kids love to eat and will eat almost anything. Mother in law isn't big on beef, but likes vegetarian and seafood. She will likely just get a salad. Father in law and my husband literally eat anything.

Go to the Tavern at the BVI. The seniors always like that place. Otherwise, there's Chen Yang Li for Chinese or the Purple Finch for sandwiches.

The Tavern is okay for kids?

I love Purple Finch...they didn't like it. I love Republic, they didn't like it. Ugh.

Sure, it's the casual restaurant. http://www.bedfordvillageinn.com/tave...

Not Fratello's. Ate there last summer. Food was mediocre, service poor.

DO NOT go to COtton!!! The service is worse than sub par and the food stinks! I have gone 6 times (always on an obligated invite and never on my own) and every time was a complete let down. How anyone can recommend this place astounds me. I wouldn't take anyone while I was paying here except my mother in law, to make her suffer.

Is Belmont Hall too low-brow? http://www.belmonthall.net/

I'm going to offer her choices of:

              Trying Republic again
              The Tavern at BVI
Black Forest Cafe (because I like it :) )
