Late Thanksgiving dinner, cheapish?

Boychucker Nov 21, 2013 09:23 PM

We're flying into LAX on Thanksgiving and will get there around 8:00pm or so. We're staying in Koreatown so looking for somewhere between the two, although we don't mind driving a little bit. Last year we ended up at Norm's which was fun. Looking for a similar low-key, cheapish meal. Anything like Norm's with interesting customers? Thanks!

    Original Pantry Cafe

Might also check Panns (http://panns.com/) but they might close early on Thanksgiving.

You know, we go to LA every year and never been to Original Pantry Cafe. I forget about it. Thanks!

Pantry's food ain't very good but compared to Norm's it would be.

Pann's is like Norm's or Denny's if Norm's or Denny's actually served good food.

Thought Pantry's Tgvg dinner was pretty much what the location promised. Good solid diner food.

Which is sort of what exactly the OP was asking for ... right?

            Maybe Piper's on western?

A fun combination of quirky, Korean and American. And they have turkey!

"Roasted Turkey - King Arthur's Roast oven roasted on a bed of homemade stuffing, served with garlic mashed potatoes, giblet gravy, green beans, and cranberry sauce"

The Pantry. Fills the bill exactly. 4 miles from Koreatown.
Just don't forget to stop at an ATM; Pantry's cash only! (thanksgiving dinner, as of a couple of years ago, was less than $20 per person, though...)
