My husband and I will be doing a mansion tour in Hyde Park and eat lunch at Bocuse, the new French restaurant at CIA. (btw, is this a good option for lunch in the area? There seems to be a lot of good restaurants i the area)
We are also looking for a breakfast restaurant in the area.
We live in Northern NJ and will be driving up so any fantastic restaurant that serves a great breakfast along the way would be awsome. We generally like something more innovative rather than eggs and pancakes but if the restaurant has great atmosphere and food, we'd love to try it.
This is for Friday in December.

Yes, I saw but the places mentioned doesn't really work from where I am driving from. My plan is to go up to Rheinbeck, eat breafkast at Gigi's market or Bread Alone then go to the antique fair, stroll the town a bit then drive down to Hyde Park, have lunch at CIA then check out Vanderbilt and other sites.
      What ya think? =)

There is a lot to choose from at Gigi's market. Another option is Another Fork in the Road http://anotherforkintheroadmilan.word...
Maybe you will get lucky and there will be a fireman's breakfast that weekend, they are a hoot!

pork belly for breakfast!? Love this place already but I really want to stay in Rheinbeck so perhaps next time. Maybe I will have to stick with Bread Alone.

Just to clarify........Gigi's Market is located in Upper Red Hook, about 12 miles or so north of Rheinbeck. Gigi's Trattoria is indeed in Rheinbeck but does not serve breakfast (except for brunch on Sunday.)

Had no idea. Thanks for the tip!

Gigi's market and another fork are both pretty much equal distance away about a ten minute drive. You can walk around Rhinebeck to see what appeals to you.
Beekman arms lobby/library is open to the public. You can take a quick break sit by the fireplace and develop a game plan. If you don't see anything that appeals to you the ten minute drive to Gigi's market and another fork are worth it.
There is Rusty's too along the way, but hey may open too late for you.
