Los Angeles Dish of the Month (December 2013) - Nominations
The last DotM of the year.
We all the drill by now, but in case you do not. The idea is this: choose a 'Dish of the Month' for the LA area and then collectively try as many versions of this dish as possible during the month of December reporting back with details and photos. It's great to talk about places you've been in the past, but the idea is to explore new places and make new discoveries.
The dish that gets chosen to end the year with a bang might be something very specific (Rice Krispy Treats) but might also be more of a dish category (Cereal). It's up to everyone here, but it probably makes sense to choose something that locals are excited about trying and finding the best and most interesting versions!
Some ideas off the top of my head to perhaps get the juices flowing:
SPHERICAL FOODS (e.g., meatballs, oranges, donut holes, etc.)
RED FOODS (e.g. apples, tomatoes, etc.)
Anyway, this is the nomination thread for December 2013…you can nominate as many dishes as you want, but once we do the voting thread (which will start on November 26), it will be one vote per user.
To nominate a dish, please (please!) post it in ALL CAPS in the responses below. This thread will be open until 11:59 PM PT on November 25th.

This is a nomination thread so I do not see how discrimination (in the sense you are using the word) comes into play. If you are so moved, why not nominate square or rectangular foods?
Just do not nominate triangular foods, because they are clearly inferior to the others, with just 3 sides :)
