I read in Robb Walsh's "Legends of Texas Barbeque Cookbook" about Buster's on 620. (Near the junction of 620 and 71--not far from the Backyard. It's in a Legion Hall.) They make a sandwich called the "Garlic H-Bomb" that Walsh's brother said was the best sandwhich in the area. The sandwich is made from Pork shoulder stuffed with fresh jalapenos and fresh garlic before the shoulder was cooked. Along with slices of that stuffed pork, the sandwhich comes with pickles, onions, sauce, and more jalapenos. I hade one for lunch. It is very good. Give it a try. But it is one HOT (spicy) sandwich. My belly is on fire. Not like reflux. Like, well, an H-Bomb. Tasty tho.

  1. Thanks for that, I just moved here and was wondering how that place was. Not a lot to eat out this way it seems.

    I'll give it a try.

Great. It's a funky place. Really is or was a legion hall. Miss-matched chairs, baseball field, Fox News on the big screen. Good bbq--tho I won't ask for the added jalapenos next time. I sent my brother (a bbq fiend in New England) a pdf of the menu. Send me an email and I'll send the menu to you, too.
