I've heard about a fairly new seafood restaurant on Abbot-Kinney. Any you Hounds know what I'm talking about? The name of the place would help and if any of you have tried it, I'd like to hear your opinion. Thanks.

Ok. Thanks. I see its in the space where Capri used to be. I wouldn't call Salt Air a seafood restaurant exactly. I was hoping for a menu on the line of Connie and Teds...but close by. Oh well.....someday.

It's not a dedicated a seafood spot as C&Ts or BP Oysterette. But, from the regular menu, 7/11 of the small plates are seafood while only 3/9 of the entrees are. But from my limited dining at the bar there, I believe there are seafood specials, plus raw bar offerings (oysters, etc.). It certainly gives off the vibe of being oriented to seafood. Very enjoyable place, and excellent drinks and nice staff. Certainly worth a visit.

Thanks Wayno. Encouraging words. I'll try it for lunch.

          It replaced Capri, right ?

A joint that I have also never been to before.

        3. There is also the pop up Ostricaro Fisico at Local 1205--Italian seafood from the guy behind Barbershop. Food is quite good but service is spotty ."
