Cheese Powder

ItalyFan Nov 18, 2013 07:50 AM

Does anyone know where I can find Cheese Powder in the Boston area. I don't ever recall seeing it in the market. Thanks.

There was a fair amount of discussion last summer:

We got some at Market Basket - can't remember which one, probably Chelsea.

I saw it at the Burlington MB on Saturday, in the cheese section near the deli.

I started that thread, and I did find it at Market Basket, and can say it was outstanding on my popcorn. I found it at the Chelsea MB, in the back left corner on an refrigerated island rack with other cheeses, top shelf and to the left (if your back is facing the 'wall of milk'.

Cabot powdered cheddar is available at Market Basket stores.

yes, and Cabot cheddar cheese powder is the gold standard.

Sorry, as a master practitioner I should be able to tell, but can't: was that sarcasm?

If it was, it was misplaced: Cabot cheddar cheese powder is outstanding. Especially on popcorn.

                No. It was sincere.

Cabot makes one - I would think a store like Whole Foods or one of the cheese shops around town would carry it, no?
