Brewing beer, curing meat, or making cheese?

Some time ago, I used to enjoy the French Onion soup at Friday's for a pre-concert snack. It's so convenient and reasonable. Since its closing, I am having a hard time finding a similar place closed to Blaisdell. There is the Stage café/Amuse Bar at the Design Center, but that is quite a walk before performance time. Any idea...?

    Dew Drop Inn
    Aunty Pasto
They are walking distance, and free metered street parking after 6.

The restaurants that are within easy walking distance of Blaisdell Concert Hall would be those across Kapiolani Blvd: Greens and Vines, Chef Chai, Budnamujip, Asahi Grill.

You forgot Doraku Sushi or Cafe Duck Butt for happy hour?

I have not yet been to any of the new places on Kapiolani for a pre-show dinner yet. However last night I went to Vino like we usually do before a concert. They have a great deal where all of the food is half price from 5:30-6:30 if you sit at the bar. I did not do that yesterday. They are great for show dining because you can eat and make it in time. If you are walking however that might be a challenge. I'll post some pictures later with descriptions of what I ate.
