Thanksgivikkuh desserts?

Chocolatechipkt Nov 17, 2013 09:12 AM

I'm looking for a few ideas for a crossover dessert that is not fried and not challah bread pudding. There's enough going on in the kitchen on Thanksgiving that frying isn't an option, but I'd like to do something to acknowledge Hannukah on Thanksgiving. Other desserts we're having include apple pie w/cheddar crust, pumpkin chiffon pie, and carrot cake (and these can't change.) But we'll be having 20+ people for dessert, so there's room for more. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Well, the only traditional Hanukkah dessert is donuts.
You could make pumpkin ruggelach, if that appeals to you.

You can make a bread pudding using donuts.

It's out of the box but as you know we fry on Hanukah to celebrate the oil miracle.
Maybe and olive oil cake would be nice. Not fried but still representing the oil
