What do you like here at the location in dtla ?

Do they serve coffee drinks too or should I just go next door to G and B's ?

Thanks.

Take the Red Line. Pershing Square Station's 4th/Hill Street entrance dumps you right there. If you must drive, the garage is next door. The entrance is on Hill and you get an hour free for a $10 purchase.

        You know me.

        Sadly, always driving in LA.

Thanks for the tip on the parking garage on Hill and validation.

        it's much appreciated.

Can your $10 purchase be cumulative at multiple places at GCM? Or has to be all at one place?

Would definitely abuse that free parking if could get eggslut + espressso and coffee at G&B. Both purchases separately would come in under $10, but cumulatively would come in over $10...

That's what I did today, but parked at a meter.

Stravinksky, your great fucking question was what I was thinking too, but was mucho afraid to ask.

I think I saw someone get a validation for a cup of coffee so maybe that works too. And that would be about $5 bucks right there.

Dommy and I have been to the truck quite a few times. The Slut is a mainstay as well as their sandwiches. The Slut is rich and delicious. Personally I don't prefer it, its texture is very soft and puts me off. I do however really like their sandwiches. I Went to GCM last week to try them but alas for now they are only open 8a-12 noon.

I will hit it up with G&B as well.

What do you guys also grab at Valerie Confections ?????

          Their most famous dish:
Gently coddled egg, richly pureed potato. Shower of coarse salt, chive.

          Spectacular!” -@ruthreichl (at Egg Slut)

Wow, that sounds and looks good. And from Ruth Reichl no less.

Wiener, have you tried this yet ?

And does anyone know if the coddled egg dish is a mainstay on the menu or is only on the menu sometimes ???????

            Thanks.

Swung by yesterday, and I'd recommend the sausage, egg and cheese sandwich, though I'd doubt you'd dislike any of the other options. They had the option of brioche or biscuit for the bun, and though I asked for biscuit I got brioche in the end... they're still working stuff out in the kitchen. I'm not complaining. I don't think anyone could complain about that pillowy brioche.

They do have coffee (just drip, from what I could tell), but I chose to walk to the other side of the market for a latte from G & B. Might as well stop by Valerie Confections on your way, make it a truly glorious occasion.

G&Bs is at the opposite end of the Market. But I don't now if you can get coffee from the Slut.
